When researching into this topic there were a few questions I wanted to answer. What effects does a small business have on a community? How important is brand trust? And how the competitors reach their goals.
Through secondary research, I was able to discover that the success of a small business can affect the economic structure of the area while also improving the community. The success of a business is determined by how trustworthy they are. This trust is decided by user feedback and reviews which can make or break a business, especially a small business. In my secondary research, I also looked into other applications which have a similar goal as Sweet Treats. Finding that their focus is to bring these communities together to share their experiences with certain products or food.
Screener survey were sent out to find candidates that fit the target audience and willing to participate in a user interview. Three participants participated in the interviews and were asked 13 questions about their thoughts on bakeries, reviewing products/services, review sites they’ve used and their motivations.
